Priest Stephen Chan Tin, Chairman of the Weekly Free Speech Newspaper, a Catholic priest who fought tirelessly in process of asking the Human Rights, Freedom and Democracy for the nation and home of Vietnam recently passed away on At 16:15 on 01-12-2012 at Redemptorist 38 Ky Dong Street, District 03, Ho Chi Minh City. This is a traumatic event and loss not only for the Democratic Vietnam, the Vietnamese people but also a great loss to the cause of fighting for human rights, reclaim Freedom democracy for the people of Vietnam and the Vietnamese homeland dear to us. All Vietnamese Catholic compatriots at home and abroad in particular, and the whole Vietnamese people in and outside the country general for united together in prayer for Father Stephen Chan Tin and send condolences to the family and all his relatives.

Born on 15.11.1920, in the village of Van Xuan Huong Tra district, Thua Thien-Hue

02/08/1944: To pray for the first time in the DCCT

On 06.06.1949: To get mission priest

Father called home at 16g15 December 1, 2012, completed his earthly journey 92 years, 68 years Redemptorist monk, 63 years their mission priest.






The celebration of Mass to place body in his coffin at 16 h 30, on Sunday 02/12/2012.

Rite celebrated for coffin moving at the 21-hour 00, Monday, 3/12/2012.

Funeral Mass celebrated at 6 pm 00, Tuesday, 04.12.2012, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Saigon.
