Pope called prayer for Christians who's in persecution ... DURING RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION CONTINUES TO OCCUR IN VIETNAM ...

THE TRUTH - JUSTICE - LOVE

Do Minh Tuyen

While Francis Pope calls for prayers for Catholics around the world ... are victims of discrimination, alleging unfair and violent ... the religious persecution aimed at Christians in Vietnam is being happening ... in it, a number of Protestants belonging to Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Gia Lai province was forced to disband not gathered to pray by the police and threatened to be arrested if gathered to pray for the Holidays Christmas ...! Besides, another Catholic youth from ethnic minorities J'rai Gia Lai province has also been beaten by commune secretary very brutally when he was helping priest brought blankets distributed to orphans in remote areas in the district.

Correctly as the words of Pope Francis said ... the persecuted Christians often occur in countries where freedom of religion "not secured, or not secured full" ... and also occurs in countries where freedom of religion is respected only on paper ... as present in Vietnam, a communist country ruled by the atheistic people, who advocated repression religion with violence ... the present and in the past has proven very clear through severe repression against Catholics as in: Con Cuong Missionary point, Nghe An province, parish My Yen, Diocese of Vinh, Church of Thai Ha, Hanoi ... and for the adherents of the Protestant Church as in:  the Protestant Presbyterian Church , the Protestant byre Church and the Protestant Menonite Church ...

These are just some highlights typical for the brutal repression of the communist government of Vietnam to Christians. Besides, some of friend Religions such as:  Vietnam Unified Buddhist Church,  Buddhist Hoa Hao Church and Cao Dai in many past years were constantly being harassed and suppressed very badly .. . clearly expressed and reflected utmost honesty panorama of Religious Freedom in Vietnam. After Vietnam voluntarily signed the UN Convention Against Torture, and the punishment or cruelty, humiliation personality ... as well as formal wear the shirt of the UN Human Rights, the people of Vietnam and the International Community has always expect that, with the roles and responsibility of the member state in the field of human rights .. . the worst human rights situation of the communist nation will be improved or at least minimize the religious repression. However, the events that happened today continues to show the right of religious freedom of the people of Vietnam still be respected and guaranteed on paper only.

December 23 last, a group of Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Gia Lai province  were disbanded by police with threatening of arrest if gather to pray during Christmas.
Talk to Thanh Truc, the missionary Rolan Diuck, who had been arrested several times, said that although the Presbyterian Evangelical Church recognized legal status from 2008, but still continues to be prohibited until today:
Since 2008, along with several other Protestant denominations in the country, Evangelical Presbyterian Church are accepted level legal status by Vietnam state, which means that activities are allowed to worship legally. Pastor Van Le Ngoc, Evangelical Presbyterian Church in the South confirmed:
Has been accepted legal personality, has operated, there was a first meeting four years ago ..
But on Monday 23, two days before Christmas, the point group of believers who J'rai in Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Duc Co district, Gia Lai province, commune police and district police award canopy during prayer group meetings. Preachers of the group, Mr. Rolan Diuck, said this was only a small group session:
Groups point has 22 households believers, police claim hitting not allow gather to worship, said that the state not allow. Gathered at the home for a family only.
As usual, the J'rai of Evangelical Presbyterian Church often gather to pray on Wednesdays and Fridays. The most important group of believers in the Church this is the first Sunday of each month.
But this time, his words still Rolan Diuck evangelist, those gathered for prayer times although less or crowded also were spying and restrictions by police. At  prayer meeting of date 23, two devotees J'rai arrested then was released that afternoon nobody understands why.
The evangelist Diuck recounts:
That's when he told police that he had to obtain a license in your commune, and his work is only to worship God alone.
But police did not accept his explanation  Rolan Diuck that also told him that such groups gathering are illegal, every time if meeting wanting, first must make a report to the commune and district.
Thought needing to know that himself Diuck Rolan had ever been arrested several times by the Duc Co public authorities :
Eight times, once in the commune Front, also once by chairman, Department of Internal Affairs twice, once by police criminal ...
When he was arrested, he said further, that he was pressured to give up his religion:
They say that the state does not allow to follow the Vietnamese-American Protestant, Evangelical Presbyterian say is not native, kept saying that he illegally. I said that I believe in God alone, Evangelical Presbyterian never been anything in the village, just called economic work to feed my family and worship God alone.
Events at same Presbyterian Evangelical Church that, this point is allowed to gather but another group in another locality that is prohibited led to the faithful in a very direct questions.
Remember in November last year, two Presbyterian Protestant groups in the South were  local police in disbanded requirements. The first group in Tan Bien District, Tay Ninh Province, by Pastor Nguyen Van Ngoc direct instruction:
When we were gathering to worship God, the local governments came. They expressed attitude fulminatory that put Christians in fear, then they invited us to commune questioned some things and make a record.
- Rev. Nguyen Van Ngoc
When we were gathering to worship God, the local governments came. They expressed attitude fulminatory that put the Christians in fear, then they invited us to commune questioned some things and make a record. This has previously happened once.

Although I tried to explain to my faithful that the state have clear guidelines not prohibit creed, religion, but it's clearly this work of local brothers right in front of eyes that made my believers can not understand.
The second group point of the ethnic at Chu Puh district, Gia Lai province, is also functional forces in requirements to disperse. The  Siu Be recounts:
Yes, they did not allow to gather. The district security called two evangelists down there, down to work they also not allow to gather. In this group of 200 people since 2011 .
While those two points of the group according to the Presbyterian Evangelical Church just said having problems with the government, the people same with their church at Phi Lieng commune, Dam Rong District, Lam Dong Province, was held that not have problems according to as the statement of person in charge is Pastor Ka Keo:
Spirit brother to the authorities so that they also agreed the house of God alone, nothing happens ...
Recalling this conversation, the pastor Le Van Ngoc said, the obstacles from this place, advantages at other place in time of November last year to December this year, but the latest is the group in Duc Co, put a lot of believers in the Protestant Presbyterian Church in the confusion and fear:
They thought that the state prohibited, religious persecution. Although I tried to explain that the state has advocated not banning religious fanatic but my believers can not understand because their qualifications are not high, they'd get scared.
He said he was deeply concerned lest the inconsistency in enforcement between superiors to subordinates so would affect the credibility of the government and hurtful to Protestants.
In addition Evangelical Presbyterian Church, two other denominations in the country are often harassed is byre Church and Mennonite Church.

During occasion of the past Christmas , priest Tin Tran Si has collected some blankets to help orphans in the Central Highlands. Due to his elderly, he asked some of parishioners brought these number of gifts to distribute, but was prevented  by local governments, harassing and even beating a young Catholic who J'rai caused him to be hospitalized.
The spirit of charity is religious teachings for believers and the first implementation that is both spiritual belief and willpower just is closer to God than through the specific work to help the poor, sharing food with those who lack food clothing, lack of wear. Visiting old people even consoled in jail.
These acts of charity for the society closer together and in what sense it would reduce the social evil, the wrongfully when human much more toward to the good.
Barring of charity making of the religions ?
Christmas is an opportunity to implement the charity spirit of Catholics. In that spirit, although a small group at the Nhon Hoa, Chu Puh, Gia Lai province priests Tin Tran Si also donated some blankets to help orphans in remote areas in the district.
Number meager blankets are the young catholic J'rai people help priest Tin  bring distributed to the children before Christmas Day. But one of the young is he Kpuih Squeeze, resident in Plei Chep, was Secretary of Ayun commune, Nguyen Van Dat, unprovoked beatings left him hospitalized for internal injuries.
Mr. Kpuih BOP told us  as follows:
-They did not allow distributing they beat. It is the Secretary beat. It forced to undress it pull down the ground to hit do not know why so pain. It says not allow to distribute.
They did not allow distributing (blanket, mosquito nets) it hit. It is the Secretary beat. It forced to undress it pulled down the ground to hit do not know why so pain. It says not allow to distribute
Mr. Kpuih BOP
According to him Kpuih Bop write report sent to the priest Tin is on last December 17 after receiving blankets he came at Plei Hoak, was the rural police prevented not allow distribution . Mr. Kpuih Bop returned a friend's house in the village H'rong,  was Secretary Nguyen Van Dat, leading many people to find and beat him here.
Not only beat Mr. Kpuih Bop, Mr. Dat with role of commune secretary also ordered  police to press Mr. Kpuih Bop under the water regardless of frigid winter weather. Fortunately for him as staff follow Mr. Dat are the J'rai so they are not obeyed him to torture their fellow.
Tin Tran Si priest explain further about the incident happen to Mr. Kpuih BOP:
-Mr. Bop said that I ask him brought blankets for orphaned children in the Highlands on a cold day, then Mr. Dat he put him stop.

NPreventing finished, stop, then he brought back not distribute anymore. He came a friend's house to talk, and while two people are talking to each other, he dragged him from the floor house, caught his coat and dragged down to beat repeatedly,
trampled on him when he fell to the ground. He did not say at all as my thought he's angry because Mr. Bop distributed blankets nets but meanwhile he only hold about 6 blankets but Mr. Dat did not want even though he has not yet distributed, but beat him like that.
Mr. Secretary Nguyen Van Dat pulled Kpuih Bop from the floor house to the ground and beat him harshly without giving any reason except not allow him to bring blankets for orphans.  Father Tin recounted the beat actions of Mr. Dat to Mr. Kpuih Bop:
Beat in the temple, in the abdomen to the chest that led to him must then lie at home for two days. It hurts and it hurts him to say that he could not breathe anymore. He was a long day that abdominal pain, chest hospitalized for several days. I think one of the reasons He beat Mr. Bop because he's in religious belief .
He did not say at all, as my thought he's angry because Mr. Bop distributed blankets but meanwhile, he only hold about 6 blankets but Mr. Dat did not want even though he has not yet distributed, but beat him like that.
Tin Tran Si Priest
When we asked if he had proof of him being injured or not Mr. Kpuih BOP review said :
-Do not know, no. Doctors talk come back then to come back it on the chest only hurts ice packs.
Tin Tran Si priest recounts the wrongs which he often met in the highlands. How much farther the city of religious freedom that much more suppressed, priest Tin told:
-I am a priest and is parish head. Those who seek help poor people, I go all the villages and regions. This commune is called commune Ayun which is a commune in ChuSe district of Gia Lai province . I can go anywhere. Now I am old and I no longer go again, I often asked brothers they help to go for me.
Ayun commune this place is not freedom. This Ayun commune is belong in remote areas so the catholic is a problem they are banned then so if touched religious issue, they fling up themselves like that. Can not mention religion in this commune. Those who desires to believe in the religious will be persecuted, expelled. At there, right as me is the priest when come in is also not be allowed and the reason is they say that this commune has no religion.
Ayun commune this place is not freedom. This Ayun commune is belong in remote areas so the catholic is a problem they are banned then so if touched religious issue, they fling up themselves like that.
Tin Tran Si Priest
Not only forbidden to practice religion, many localities are arbitrarily banned the charitable work of the people. The reason that the local has given out is often not persuade anyone as Tin priest said:
-They said the state lacks nothing in that warehouse full of clothes blankets all! Mr. Dat he said that the state does not lack. When we asked why not distribute to the people, he was silent.
Looking back at all the work that Mr. Kpuih BOP and Tran Si Tin priest told, the people know clearly one thing that, where the international could not keep their eyes on will never exist freedom of religion. While government propaganda always loudly about this, Mr. Secretary Nguyen Van Dat tried to knock out all the nicest thing that the Central government has staged.
Parishioners general and the J'rai ethnic minorities according to the Catholic at Ayun in particular  think Mr. Nguyen Van Dat, just a secretary of the commune had power of life and death, disregard a major policy of the state like that, Thus, the powers of the higher level would how big?
