But the communist government of Vietnam over the past several years have adopted a variety of ways and full of sinister tricks to bend the law, trample the truth and justice in order to deceive public opinion in the country and abroad , conducted the active suppression of freedom of people's basic legal rights include: the right to religious freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and association ....
Vietnamese communist government authorities always cited national security reasons to arbitrary abuse and interpreted ambiguous provisions in the Criminal Procedure Code as in Articles 88 (propaganda against mode), 258 (Abusing freedom of action Democratic violated the benefit of State ) or more serious is that Article 79 (Conspiracy to overthrow the government) in order to punish those who do not have the same views or have different views to the government that they could adversely affect or prejudice the power and interests of the Party and the current regime (including Communist Party members and Party officials government at all levels).

As the international legal advice free of charge for the benefit the community, Freedom Now organization and law firm Woodley & McGillivary on 11/10 has represented three young activists Do Thi Minh Hanh, Doan Huy Chuong, and Nguyen Hoang Quoc Hung sent a petition to the UN Working Group survey detained arbitrarily (UNWGAD), requested the independent expert of the United Nations to investigate and confirm that the Hanoi jailed three characters struggle to protect workers' rights action is arbitrary and violates international law.

"The three activists were arbitrarily accused of 'violating national security', a totally bogus. In fact, they were sentenced from seven to nine years in prison based on the organizational activities of workers. Vietnamese government claims that support the rights of workers, the right to organize activities. But in reality, they take the criminal offense of 'breach of national security' for activities organized workers on strike for the rights of workers. "
Company representative Woodley & McGillivary said after the UN Working Group received the petition, they will move to Vietnam and Vietnam have 90 days to respond. After 4-6 months, the UN Working Group will be ruled on a petition.
Mr Gregory said when the UN Working Group decision, international pressure will increase a lot of most Vietnamese promote release of three activities:
"If the Vietnamese government does not have any feedback, we will work with the trade union organizations in the world as well as the Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations American AFL-CIO to increase pressure on Vietnam, and if necessary we will support methods such as boycotts etc. .. to call for the release immediately and unconditionally to the independent trade union activists in Vietnam. We will increase the pressure on Hanoi and promote respect of Vietnamese enterprises to do business with as much as possible. "
Hanoi prison for three activists had organized Human Rights Watch Human Rights Watch condemned the brutal action and human rights violations.
Three young activists Hanh, Chuong Duong was arrested in early 2010 after organizing the workers of My Phong shoe factory in Tra Vinh strike, demanding protection of labor rights. They were held incommunicado for several months before being brought to court in October 2010 with the project from 7 to 9 years in prison on charges of "disturbing the peace against the people's administration" under article 89 the Penal Code.
According to Freedom Now, at the hearing, all three are not the legal representative, is not present to defend themselves, and for the duration of detention they were beaten repeatedly and forced labor whether health status serious problem.
Vietnam accused three young persons "abuse issues lacking in the mode of labor and wages of workers to propaganda, inciting workers to strike, to protest".
Of the three activities, Doan Huy Chuong each sentenced to one and a half years in prison on charges of "abusing democratic freedoms" in 2006. He is one of the founding members of the Association of Workers-Farmers Organization, an independent organization not recognized by the state.
