Before the backlash from public opinion at home and abroad as well as from religious leaders and lay people, the Vietnamese communist government to halt its illegal actions in the use of arms forces suppress fellow parishioners aim illegally seized property legally owned land of Vietnam Catholic Church in recent years. However, after a period of silence in order to placate public opinion, today, the communist government of Vietnam continues to repeat old behavior to account for the permanent disposal of land and property of the Catholic Church said with deceptive tricks and lies as; take fortune the said land to serve the public interest ..... and in a spirit of respect for the opinions and wishes of the     Court of the Archbishop of Hanoi!!!

In fact, these are the only trick to deceive the public and cover up the misconduct of local authorities when carrying out illegal appropriation of land assets above only. We are still keep in the minds about the Vietnamese communist authorities had used force the illegal appropriation of land Nunciature Hanoi and overnight turned the land above into the park in 2008. In recent years, Hanoi authorities always cited that their actions solely for the purpose of serving the public interest and rails on to disguise the above reasons for appropriating land mass properties of the churches, parishes, ... Monastery and then use for their own purposes a handing as the land acquisition of the monastery of the Thai Ha parish in Hanoi to build Da Khoa Hospital, but then turned it into place of profligate.

Not only for the Church but even legal land assets owned by individuals of fellow parishioners was making difficult by State government. What makes the communist government of Vietnam always focus and desire to appropriate the property and land of the religious organizations and fellow parishioners despite the objections of the people's opinion and abroad as well as in spite of the law and trample the truth and justice? Not difficult to understand, because this is the policy of the Party and the communist government of Vietnam to tighten the scope of activities of Religion which is an expanding trend and widely influential in the country but in the eyes of the Vietnamese communist government this could cause instability and harm to power, interest and leadership role of their country in this period when the confidence of people in government is declining dramatically.

Communist authorities confirmed the re smashed up robbery Carmelite closed monastery  72 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hanoi

On 30/05/2011, TTGM Hanoi received the letter of the Hanoi People's Committee signed on 27/05/2011, posts and City Inspectors City Board Religion, "unit testing, proposals People Steering City consider, answered Peter Nguyen Van Nhon and Sister Pauline Hanoi prescribed by law. President Gia Kiem violate freedom of religion?

  VRNs (08/23/2012) - Dong Nai - On 21/08/2012, Nguyen Van Long in Gia Kiem Thong Nhat Dong Nai province received Decision 64/QD-KPHQ (Decision 64) by Dinh Van Huy , Chairman of People's Committee of Gia Kiem signed on 17/08/2012 asking him self dismantle the MARIA statue placed in the premises of his family.
Mr. Dinh Van Huy reason given is:

- Nguyen Van Long had administrative violations of land legislation is improper land use purposes specified at Point a, Clause 1, Article 8 of Decree 105/2009 ND-CP of November 11 2009 ...

- Reasons for not sanctioning administrative violations: Due to the statute of limitations for sanctioning administrative violations should not apply administrative sanctions.

For two reasons, the consequence is overcome: "Forced Nguyen Van Long dismantling of the structures on the land ..."

This Decision takes effect 10 days from the date of receipt of 21.08.2012, ie the date 31/08/2012 is the deadline. Mr. Chairman Gia Kiem said: "Mr. Nguyen Van Long have the right to appeal against this decision in accordance with law."

     Under the program was arranged, 7th on 11-08-2012, I (Nguyen Cong Hoang) and nephew called by uncle to Hue to take part in the wedding ceremony of a cousin and then Sunday evening on the bus to the city Phu Ly, Ha nam province visited Father Nguyen Van Ly, the uncle and grandparent by blood groups. Situated on the car from 5pm days 12-08 until 6am the next 13-08 is arrival in Phu Ly. Due Ninh Binh highway - bridge Gie has opened up the car to Hanoi most of this road, so we had down at the highway junction Highway 21 (Ly approximately 7 km), and from there Car to Ba Sao prison camp (west Kim Bang district). Along the road near the camp, see many police officers stood on all the left and right side of the way, we were surprise and did not know what's happen?. Then our car was stopped, with the message: today is not to meet his family because the camp relocation .

     We contacted prison officials, they said the same thing, and appointment will reply after consult to leaders. We had to take the car back to the Phu Ly to find a motel for the night. The next morning (14-08 - 2012), received reports permitted  to meet and visit, both of us hastily arranged luggage, call the car to the new prison to visit to see Father Ly. New camp is located in the Tan Lang, Tan Son commune, Kim Bang, Henan Province ( the same districts, provinces, be different only commune and village. Former camp, much broader, has been sold to a company for tourist eco-tourism). Car camp at 7h in the morning and we were the first guests of this camp. The houses are just built but still be messy.

     After the formalities, 7:30 'we meet relatives.

     Father Ly is still limping step, but does not use stick anymore. His body is thin than before, but the face is look rosy, smiling face, revealing the inner peace. Time later his blood pressure ranged from 90/130-140 mmHg, sometimes up 100/150mmHg, thus from 5-7-2012 day in camp to take more Coversyl 5 mg 1vien/ngay. With polio sequelae due to cerebral vascular accident, back in the captive environment that indicators like blood pressure, the real concern for his health and heart!

     After visiting news of relatives, friends and the Church, priests say thanks all friends near and far always remember. He particularly thanked the bishops, priests and faithful brothers and sisters always support him in many ways. Priest also have heard about the recent protests against China that have been suppressed. Our part is to know about the self-immolation of Ms. Dang Thi Kim Lieng, her mother, Ta Phong Tan; and this prisoner of conscience promised to pray for her as well as for other prisoners of conscience in particular.

     The priest also said this morning (day 14-08) in the new prison, he celebrates Mass was eager to join the global Catholic Church celebrates St. Maximilien Kolbe, a Polish priest who dared available to die in place of a prisoner under the Nazis-and pray for the Church, for the homeland, for land itself Tan Son as well as for all the inmates and staff at the camp. Before celebrates Mass, he knelt down and kissed the ground new prison with sense: would like to see this place as the new office which God entrusted to. For him, there was a significant celebration!

     Then, in front of the prison staff, the priest gave us a brief prayer that he composed and still pray several times a day to live, with the desire to be more people united prayer. His prayer was written in the right arm was paralyzed in the past but is now recovering well. (Please see below).

     After more than an hour of confidence, we said goodbye the uncle and grandparents in pity, on the bus back to Phu Ly, and instant acceleration find means in Quang Tri to keep up the annual pilgrimage at the Shrine of La Vang am 15/8.

The dissident lawyer Le Quoc Quan was assaulted by thugs with iron tubes on  Sunday night 19-08-2012 hospitalized with injuries which although is not so serious but caused many pressing in public opinion. The people of Vietnam who is no stranger to the thugs using of government or plainclothes police pretending thugs  to use force, repression and attacks people, particularly for Democratic activists or the voices of dissent in the country. In recent times, the use of thugs and hooligans attacking people mentioned above for the purpose of intimidation and flexing them have become alarmingly common.

It makes people nervous and attracted attention from the International Human Rights Organization about the main option despicable, evil methods to deal with the religious organizations, the activist Democracy and most recently for people in the field of land claims. And worse is that governments at all levels to look ugly cowardly method as for the above priority list because it can help cover up unlawful behavior, illegal and immoral human of the people who representatives of the law, enforcement authorities on behalf of justice, and maintain social order and safety as well as the responsibility to protect the lives and property of the people.

Vietnam's communist government still claims before domestic and international public opinion that Vietnam is a State law so that the government always respected the law and justice in order to create a good society, an Full and fair civilization. But in fact, Vietnam's communist authorities are to act contrary to what they say. The same people always patting their chests called claiming to represent law, enforcement authorities, the justice but often trample on justice, law violations and challenges the human conscience, try asking how people could trust in the Party and government, as well as how people could keep believe that under the policies of authoritarian rule of the communist party of Vietnam are now able to construct a better society, fair and civilized as false propaganda so long by leadership of the Communist Party and State of Vietnam.

He said the incident occurred at 10:30 pm at the home next door as he was walking home from the parking spot. At that time he, his wife and son went to a friend's birthday, and his wife and children before he went home, Mr. Quan told the BBC in the situation 'very painful and very difficult to walk.'

'Three whips '

Mr. Quan Said the subjects 'thugs' is used iron tube whip in his knee, thigh and waist as he ran away and called for help.

Mr. Hai confirmed that no witnesses saw Mr. Quan was 'hit' and that police are investigating to determine whether 'there must Quan was beaten'.

"Field observations are also not known," Mr. Hai said, in the coming days will result in the initial investigation.

BPSOS launches multi-year campaign to demand restitution of Vietnamese-American properties that have been expropriated by the Vietnamese government.

Today, BPSOS, a national Vietnamese-American organization based in Falls Church, Virginia, officially announces a nationwide campaign to ensure that the U.S. Administration effectively protects and defends the interests and properties of U.S. citizens of Vietnamese origin. Over the past 37 years, the Vietnamese government has seized, expropriated and nationalized the properties of potentially as many as half a million Vietnamese after their being naturalized as U.S. citizens.

Some 145,000 Vietnamese evacuated to the United States at the end of the Vietnam War in 1975. Most of them had become U.S. citizens by late 1980. In the years 1975-1988 over a million Vietnamese escaped the communist tyranny in their homeland by sea and some by land. The vast majority of them resettled to the United States. By 1990, a quarter of a million Vietnamese had become naturalized U.S. citizens. By 2000 this number exceeded half a million.

Vietnam's land law of 1993 nationalized lands left vacant by these refugees turned U.S citizens. Its land law of 2003 nationalized houses left vacant by an even larger number of already naturalized U.S. citizens. The Vietnamese government continues to expropriate additional properties of U.S. citizens, including properties that Vietnamese-Americans have inherited from their deceased parents in Vietnam in recent years.

This campaign seeks to ensure that the U.S. Administration protects and defends the rights, interests, and properties of U.S. citizens, including U.S. citizens of Vietnamese origin, and upholds the law of the land.

The Trade Act of 1974 (19 USC 2462(b)(2)) stipulates that the President shall not grant Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) status to a government that has "nationalized, expropriated or otherwise seized property of U.S. citizens or corporations without providing, or taking steps to provide, prompt, adequate, and effective compensation, or submitting such issues to a mutually agreed forum for arbitration." Reportedly, the current Administration is negotiating GSP with Vietnam and aims to conclude the negotiation by year's end.

Likewise in compliance with the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended in 1964 (22 USC 2370(e)), the President shall suspend all assistance to a country the government of which has expropriated the properties of U.S. citizens, and the U.S. government shall vote against loans to that government from international financial institutions such as the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

A petition drive to the White House will be the first act in this multi-stage campaign. It will be followed by an all-out effort to seek Congressional support and intervention. Legal experts are studying the feasibility of a class action.
